See what Michael Phelps says about the Graston Technique®
DETAILS: So what do you do for recovery?
Michael Phelps: My trainer, Keenan [Robinson], uses Graston tools, these little metal crowbars. He carves them into my shoulder blades, my back, my knee, my hamstrings—wherever I'm really tight—to loosen things up.
Graston Technique® is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. Most of the therapists at Sports and Rehab are Graston trained and use the technique daily.

Congratulations to Kevin Bugeau, ATC, who works for Safe Sports Network out of Derry Sports and Rehab covering the Windham High School athletic events.
Kevin received a well deserved compliment by Interim Superintendent Dr. LaBranche and school board Vice Chairman Michelle Farrell on his “very cautious and appropriate action at the time of any injury” and in particular his very “conservative” approach in handling concussions, as stated in the Pelham/Windham Newspaper dated October 12, 2012.
Rebecca Underwood, PT and Meryl Sullivan, DPT of Salem Sports and Rehab participate in the Lawrence based company, Crown Cork and Seal’s annual Corporate Health Fair as part of the Team to help educate employees and keep them safe at work.
Rob Armata, DPT from Salem Sports and Rehab works with a Salem based company, Gates Mectrol, on educating their employees, correcting work station ergonomics, as well as assisting in making changes to their production floor work stations to make a safer work environment and help decrease cumulative trauma.
