TMJ

Temporomandibular Joint or Jaw Joint dysfunction is treated comprehensively at Sports and Rehab. If you suffer from any of the following TMJ symptoms: headaches/migraines, facial pain, neck and shoulder pain, tinnitus (ringing of the ears), jaw pain, limited jaw movement or locking jaw, clicking or popping jaw joints, you may be suffering from TMJ.

TMJ stands for the Temporomandibular Joint or Jaw Joint. These small joints are considered to be one of the most complex joints in the entire body because of the intricate network of bones, teeth, muscles, and nerves. Because of this, TMJ pain affects many areas of the body from the top of the head in migraine-like headaches to numbness or tingling in the arms and pain in the neck and shoulders. TMJ can occur when either disk erodes, or a disk moves out of its proper alignment. It can also occur when arthritis damages a joints cartilage or when a becomes damaged due to an impact.
